Mantle Build in Medway, MA
I built the mantle out of a piece of nicely weathered 2″ white pine from local tree service company. I lightly sanded the lumber as to remove the splintering while keeping the saw marks and character. I dovetailed the brackets and made a cleat that was blind screwed to wall so NO fasteners were visible….

This is an image of a set of stairs in a house we purchased as a rental property. Not safe, Not to code and……UGLY!
AFTER
Completely removed old stairs. I put three stringers made of 2 x 12 Douglas Fir (old set was 2 x 10 and there were only 2!) One sheet of 3/4 Sanded pine plywood for treads and risers; a couple Doug Fir 2 x 4 rounded and sanded for hand rails; a couple 4 x 4 for newel posts and electrical conduit…yep electrical conduit for balusters!
Laundry room remodel
New front loader washer and dryer did NOT fit in original laundry closet that had bifold doors. I removed the doors and the partition wall and refinsished walls and ceiling
