Mantle Build in Medway, MA
I built the mantle out of a piece of nicely weathered 2″ white pine from local tree service company. I lightly sanded the lumber as to remove the splintering while keeping the saw marks and character. I dovetailed the brackets and made a cleat that was blind screwed to wall so NO fasteners were visible….

I installed white oak stair treads, Skirt boards, Trim, Handrails and Ballusters. I made the newel post and I installed the bifold doors.

This is an image of a set of stairs in a house we purchased as a rental property. Not safe, Not to code and……UGLY!
AFTER
Completely removed old stairs. I put three stringers made of 2 x 12 Douglas Fir (old set was 2 x 10 and there were only 2!) One sheet of 3/4 Sanded pine plywood for treads and risers; a couple Doug Fir 2 x 4 rounded and sanded for hand rails; a couple 4 x 4 for newel posts and electrical conduit…yep electrical conduit for balusters!
Laundry room remodel
New front loader washer and dryer did NOT fit in original laundry closet that had bifold doors. I removed the doors and the partition wall and refinsished walls and ceiling

Built cabinet above machines and built a butcher block top out of old growth Longleaf Pine…BEAUTIFUL. the panel in the back is a false wall that actually attaches with magnets as it needs to be removable because the plumbing and electrical fixtures are behind it….

Customer’s office was right off kitchen and he wanted privacy however space contraints eliminated the option for a basic door

I eliminated the bifold door hardware and installed 3.5″ door hinges so the door could fold up into the corner of the room; door is held closed by magnets…..

The existing trim needed to be removed (gingerly), the customer doors came prehung however the jambs were inferior so I made new; transom came from a separate vendor; All needed to be primed and painted; Door latch and strike plates bored and installed
